Riad Zamzam Marrakech
Zamzam is a traditional Moroccan riad, previously a fortune teller’s house, lovingly converted into a small independent hotel with pool and spa. Our hotel hosts 7 bedrooms and suites over the ground and first floor, all decorated to create individual experiences. Stylish French and Moroccan antiques furnish the bedrooms together with handwoven Berber carpets and African art. Each room has its own bespoke marble and tadelakt bathroom with bath or rain shower.

There are a number of common areas at Riad Zamzam for guests to enjoy. The Moroccan sitting room, with its magnificent fireplace, is ideal for sipping a cocktail before dinner or dining inside during the cooler months with the roaring fire. The courtyard, shaded by the palm, is wonderful for breakfast, writing, reading or playing games. The terrace offers views of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, sun loungers and a shaded tent area with Moroccan sofas and cushions for relaxing drinks out of the desert sun. Guests can enjoy breakfast on the roof terrace, a lazy lunch or dinner under the stars.

Our Famous Location
Riad Zamzam is located in the northern part of Marrakech Medina, an area of great historical importance. Sidi Bel Abbes (XIIth century) is the most famous saint of Marrakesh. A former teacher completely devoted to Islam, he helped the beggars and the blind people. The Medersa (Quranic School) and the mosque date to1605, while the fountain and the Zaouia (holy shrine where the followers devote themselves to prayer) are older. This is the main mosque that royalty will attend when visiting Marrakech.
You may visit the central courtyard of Zaouia with its pretty fountain, intricate carved plasterwork and hand-cut Moroccan tiles. You may be asked to make a donation to the Zaouia – to this day, the blind and poor are still fed there every evening. This forms part of your route into the Medina and the souks when staying at Zamzam.
Riad Zamzam is just a 20-minute walk from the Marrakech Souks and Jemaa El Fnaa. Located next to a road that leads to the Palmeraie and next to Marrakech's famous ‘Yacout’ Restaurant. We are 5 minutes by taxi or a 15-minute walk to YSL Museum and Majorelle Gardens.
